My name is Christine S. Diaz and in 2000 my life changed instantly. While roofing my barn, I fell from the ladder and broke my back… badly. They said I wouldn’t walk again but after 8 months in a “turtle-shell” brace, I was ready to not only walk but started looking to take a class in something creative. I’d always been an artist and love art of all mediums but had never tried stained glass. What started out as a hobby while rehabilitating a broken back turned into a passion I can’t even put into words. I’ve recently moved into a house my grandparents built in 1958 and I’ve transformed the garage into a working studio. So now, with the roar of the ocean waves almost at my back door, I use my artistic energy to create unique stained glass designs in my own home studio. Working along side my faithful companion Jaggy kitty, with my music turned up, I create unique stained glass designs using found pieces of stone, seaglass, shells and sometimes even plants.

I was born and raised in Seacliff Beach, Santa Cruz, California. I studied art in high school and was a member of the Santa Cruz Art League. After my son was born, I went back to school to earn a degree in Interior Design and Color from Monterey Peninsula College in Monterey, California. I managed a local art store in Santa Cruz for nearly 15 years before moving to Truckee where I took my first class in stained glass, Fused Glass and Slumping. I made a stained glass RV window for my own travel trailer and while camping in Oregon, I was approached by a free-lance writer inquiring about my beautiful window. In September 2005, Trailer Life Magazine published an article featuring my RV windows. I have since made over 200 windows and shipped them nationwide.

My experience and design skills working with stained glass have lead me to make beautiful custom windows and cabinet doors for homes, professional offices, restaurants, and even Recreational Vehicles. I love working with people and I strive to create a one-of-a-kind pieces for each client so they can enjoy a piece of art that is solely theirs for a lifetime. My windows and stained glass sculptures are not only beautiful but functional.

I am dedicated to working with each client to successfully achieve the design goals they visualize and help them turn their visions into reality. Each piece of stained glass art I create is designed, hand cut, ground, soldered and framed (if necessary) by me. I am proud of the level of craftsmenship I produce. I promise you will love what I make for you!
